Over the last 20 years, I have had the opportunity to provide communications strategy and media relations consulting to a wide range of non profit organizations, large and small museums, as well as corporate and small business clients. I am also a freelance writer focusing on family, community, health and wellness, and women’s careers and am proud to have been recognized for my work by the Parenting Media Association.

Why do I want to do this now?

I am excited to redirect my broad experience with institutional clients and organizations to working with small non-profits, small businesses, solo practitioners and entrepreneurs who are trying to navigate communications and promotion on their own. I am especially interested in working with the growing community of women launching second-life or new careers and businesses. I will bring my commitment to excellence and my skills to support clients that are perhaps fearful of new technologies and social media; are trying to build a business on their own without luxury of a staff; or who simply want someone to help them bring their vision to life. These clients want to work one on one with a dedicated consultant who brings enthusiasm, passion and authenticity to the job - the same qualities they feel about their own business.

I understand the challenges you are facing as you try and build your profile. Be assured that I will be your partner, an understanding ear, a confidence booster, and a firm hand in implementing a successful marketing program. I am excited to take this journey with you!

About Me

Prior to launching Corinne Zola Communications & Consulting, I was a founder of the Westchester Children’s Museum, the first and only museum designed for children in the region. My work with this institution spans 10+ years from conception to opening and continues today. I was immersed in shaping the mission; raising start up funds; building awareness and anticipation; developing an exhibition and education program; recruiting board members and key staff; securing a site; establishing public and private partnerships; public speaking at fundraising, openings and relationship-building events, and working personally with County or Westchester elected officials. I served as President for over eight years and presided over the opening in 2016 in the historic landmark Bathouses at Rye Playland. I continue to serve on the Board of Directors, Chair the Communications Committee and am a member of the Strategic Planning Committee.

My success in getting the doors of the Museum open was informed by my years of experience as a publicist, an audience development specialist, and a communications consultant for organizations including:
• American Museum of Natural History
• Resnicow Schroeder Associates, a communications and management consulting agency specializing in museums and arts organizations
• Villard Books, division of Random House, Inc.
• CITYarts, Inc., a NY-based non profit that partners children with artists to create meaningful public art installations
